Good morning everyone!

 

Hospital bed is being delivered Monday afternoon and plan is to discharge Mom from Rehab on Tuesday morning which probably means she will make it home in time for dinner.  lol

 

Amber, Dr. Waxman's PA was in and took the splint and sling off of mom's arm but she was having such pain that she put it back on and it will remain for another 2 weeks.  X-ray had been taken earlier in the morning and showed everything is in place.  She had terrible pain all day and was given pain medication for it.  This is the second day in a row that she is hollering constantly.  It got so bad at one point the nurse came and shut the door.  It makes me very nervous when she does this but I guess I will have to learn to cope. 

 

She really did not eat well yesterday, only eating pudding and mashed potatoes.  Chastity said she did get her to eat some of her eggs for breakfast and of course, she had her Starbucks.

 

Physical Therapy came in the afternoon and Mom refused to get out of bed no matter how hard they tried.  She did sit up on the side of her bed for a while, but no way was she putting her feet on the floor.

 

Ada, Jack and Wilma came in the evening. Jack did have Mom laughing teasing her with her stuffed dog.  I also got to meet the lady that gave her the dog yesterday.  She is the Activities Director of Rehab.  Nurses yesterday were Dana Short and Mary Jo Farrell, both friends and former employees at the VA.
