Well I am starting my daily MOM UPDATE to try and keep everyone informed.  I am to the point I can't remember who I told what so I thought I would do an email daily and will continue to text the family with updates from the hospital as things happen.

Thank you all for your love and prayers for mom and me during this time.  We love you all dearly.

Well, they kept giving her morphine on midnight shift which just made her do nothing but sleep during the day. Physical therapy came in yesterday morning but she was so out of it they could not get her to do anything. Dr. Angotti d/c the Morphine and because she refused to eat or drink yesterday has now started an IV and putting non-narcotic pain meds in the IV. She became more alert in the afternoon but is still refusing to eat or drink, even refused ice cream which is her favorite. Because of the non-eating/drinking, they will be keeping her longer and the plan is upon discharge she goes to a rehab where they will teach me how to get her out of the hospital bed which is to be delivered here and to a wheelchair or potty. She will not be able to walk with walker any more. I guess this means it will be a downhill course. Physical Therapy is telling me that her elbow never properly healed before but I don't think that was the case, I wonder if it didn't re-break when she fell. I don't know, just guessing, but she could use that arm, just not bear weight on it prior to this fall. Doesn't make a difference now anyway.
I am heading to the hospital so I will be there to work with Physical Therapy and be there when Dr. Angotti makes rounds. Everyone has treated us wonderful, and they make sure that I have an emergency coke there in case my sugar drops. Sugar is running low, as I never did eat well when she was in the hospital. I had a whole bag of M&Ms there yesterday but believe it or not never touched them. lol. I pack me a sandwich because it is way to far to walk to the cafeteria. The employees don't even go to the cafeteria because they said their lunch time is over by the time they walk there. Remind me later to tell you of my journey the first day the nurse made me leave Mom's room while she bathed her and told me I needed a walk and got into an unauthorized part of the hospital (main computer area).
Will keep you updated. vada
