Happy Lord's Day everyone! I can't believe it was 3 weeks ago today that Mom fell.  Some ways it feels like less but more ways it feels like a very long time ago.

Mom was asleep when I got there this yesterday about 9 a.m. and slept through until 5 till noon when she sat bolt up, so I knew they had given her something. Was told they gave her an Ativan at 3:15 a.m. Immediately she started yelling for Charlie. Come to find out when she used his last name together with Charlie, it was a guy that I dated in the late 70's and early 80's. Funny she would be calling for him. When I dated him back then she always said he was to much older than me and to "experienced". lol  Wonder what ever happened to him??? lol

Jack came by himself at 2pm and stayed until 4:30pm. He had to go home, shower and change and go to the VFW for dinner. He was so attentive to Mom.  She was in one of her yelling moods and he tried everything to try and quiet her.  Melissa, RN gave Mom another Ativan to calm her down at 3:30pm just before her shift was over.. Finally, after 5 pm, Mom went to sleep. I told them to hold her dinner until she woke up, as she is only eating mashed potatoes and jello anyway. She wouldn't even eat a donut for me today and I had stopped and got fresh ones. I came home at 6pm because I have laundry to do; out of clean shirts after tomorrow.   I had meant to stay awake to watch Katie's award show on livestream but my knees were killing me so I put Ben Gay on them and laid down with the dogs to wait for time for that to be on.  (Kate is in Chicago representing her high school and state in this national competition).  I must have immediately went to sleep because I didn't wake up to see it.  Got an email from Richard that they watched it for hours and did not see her category announced.  I guess we have to wait till Kate gets home to find out how it really went.

Thanks again to my wonderful great nephew Tommy for installing my new computer system when he was here Easter weekend.  Without him, I probably would not be boring you all with my daily updates.  He is such a "techy" and tries to keep his old aunt updated in this new tech world and also for showing me how to use my new smartphone.  Because of him, my many hours at the hospital have been so much better, I can text people, look up hospital supplies I need, receive phone calls and oh yes, even play games. Love my bejeweled and mahjongg games and helps to pass the time.

Heading to the hospital.  Glad Mom is coming home on Tuesday.  This sitting is hard work, well it wears me out anyway.  Praying that my knees hold out a few more days of this until we get home and back into a routine.

Love to all, vada
